Dr Jacqueline Parisi is Executive Director and Principal Consultant at Rakata International. She is a Capacity Development Specialist and is currently based in New Zealand, working on assignments internationally.
Jacqueline has been engaged in capacity development, organisational strategy and development, and strategic Human Resource Development for over 20 years. She has held executive leadership roles in the private, public and development aid sectors, and in
international consulting firms. Her key positions include Director International Development for Volunteer Service Abroad; International Director for Akina Foundation; Deputy Director of the Mekong Institute; Deputy Chief Executive for Organisational Strategy
and Performance, State Services Commission, New Zealand; New Zealand Country Manager of a large international consulting firm; Capacity Development Director for an international NGO, based in Indonesia, and Program Director for an international NGO based in
Bangkok. Jacqueline’s areas of expertise are strategy development and planning; organisational capacity development; social enterprises and social franchising; and leadership.
Jacqueline is passionate about optimising organisational impact. She
holds an MBA and a doctorate titled: "Capacity building in non-profit organisations in the development aid sector: explanatory research of capacity building in Indonesia in 2008 and an investigation into the diffusion of capacity building techniques between
Jacqueline is active in the international development aid and non-profit space and holds non-profit Board positions for SurfAid International and UnionAid in New Zealand. She also supervises doctoral research candidates engaged in
academic research. She has worked in Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, China, Myanmar, New Zealand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
